Week 16 evaluation
I have set up 6 google alerts (one for each branch library in TRC) and I have added a feed to my blog . First attempt at designing the survey in survey monkey had the questions in reverse order - LOL!!
Week 15 delicious
I am now currently authenticated to allow sharing with Twitter . I added the Lennox Quartet to my bookmarks and then shared it via twitter Woo Hoo!
Week 14 Twitter
Searched twitter for public libraries and found tweets on how eBook catalogs @ public libraries drive pubs books sales and profits. Also tried Tamworth NSW and as it is January 26th not surprisingly there are tweets about the Country Music Awards

I have linked my Flikr account to twitter and blogged a picture. I have one person following me and I am following two people. Twitter is great if you have small bits of news that happen frequently. It is quite disappointing to check someone on twitter and see there hasn't been a post for 6 months . I like it because I naturally think in 140 character size amounts - no need to adjust .

Week 13 Learning 2.1 Refreshing your blog and the blogger toolkit
I have changed my details in the extended information form but I am choosing not to change the template today as I changed it last week. While I watched the slideshow outlining the various types of blogs I pondered which one this blog would fit into . None really. Seems its more of a "diary" or "tracking your progress" blog.
I haven't been blogging or commenting on others blogs since the 2.0 course but I do like to check out other people's blogs and am following one blog for personal interest.
Explored mashable and blogging tips sites . Attempted to download a template from blogging tips but it timed out. Mashable had some amazing facebook ideas.

Week 12: Wrap up; social networks and catch up
Looked at all the sites , Already have a Facebook account . Tried to sign up for second life but could not get the security check words to load so I guess I will try another time .
Facebook seems to have a lot of possibilities. Already our library Children's Assistant is posting to the local "mummies and daddies page" on Facebook with info about events and reminders on the day of the event. The response has been fantastic. We are now thinking of having a library Facebook page and having a Facebook icon on the website . The inclusion of social networking into the library service will be graduated so that clients are not overwhelmed.
